repair idle adjustment cable

Word to the wise, if you do over adjust the idle cable, it fits into the DFI body itself, goes thru all the way and contacts a tang on far side of the throttle cable cam. Rotate to the right to idle up, left to idle down.

Does anyone have an easy way to reinsert the threaded end of the idle adjustment cable into the DFI cable cam?
I over adjusted mine and can't quite find where it needs to go.
