As it is on the mentioned website:

The next job was putting on a backrest, since the wife wouldn't get on her without one.  The rear seat that was on the bike turned out to be aftermarket (actually, a generic pillion mounted on an aftermarket luggage rack!).  This backrest was meant for a Honda 1300VTX, but all I had to do was widen one of the bracket holes to make it fit.

I've been working on customizing a Drifter 800 and a Drifter 1500 for about a year now, and now that I've got them pretty much the way I want I thought it might be helpful for others if I put a link to that page here:

Where did you find the rear bumpers?
I am looking for some for my bike and I haven't run across anywhere that has them.
Any info would be great.

I too love the solo seat look, so we are shopping for a bike for my wife, she would rather ride her own than sit on the back anyway.

That's why I have the Corbin and no bags... she won't ride the Drifter anymore... spoiled with the gwing... so the double seat allows me to actually carry stuff without adding bags that obscure the fender.

Put the passenger seat back on the 1500 today.   Kinda hated to do so, because I love that back fender, but I hate not having the lady with me even more...

I'm in the same boat........love the solo look, but love the wife more..........tough one!

I learned the Voyager Kickstand trick here, in fact.

Put the passenger seat back on the 1500 today.   Kinda hated to do so, because I love that back fender, but I hate not having the lady with me even more...
