Progressive rear shock ?

I just installed the 465-1148B and it fit perfectly. Lowering the back 1" would be fine if you weigh less than 180 otherwise youll be bottoming out.
The progressive shock is nearly impossible to adjust once on the bike.

Just remember that if you do lower the bike you will be in danger of wiping the grease nipples off the rocking arm, and that can be very expensive.

I have replaced the grease nipples with M6 button SHCS, and only refit the nibbles to grease up at maintenance time.

Hello fellow Drifters, I am replacing the tires on my Drifter and thought that I might also upgrade my rear shock in the process.  The part number for the rear shock, from Progressive for the Drifter 800, is 465-1148B. This is also the same number listed for the 800 A and B up to 2005. Progressive also offered Part number 465-1149 for the 800A that was a 1" lower shock. Here is my question. Does any one know if the 465-1149 will work correctly on the 800 Drifter? Thanks,CDD
