I also use the Honda car coolant in mine as well, after doing some research several years ago, seemed like the best stuff around for the money.  I'm sure there are others that are equally good.

As far as the waterwetter, I don't think it's necessary but probably won't hurt anything.   I always figured that stuff wasn't around when they developed the bike, so prob. isn't necessary, but shouldn't hurt anything.  If it has overheating problems with normal antifreeze, then something is not correct.

Don't get me wrong -- Nothing wrong with using stuff to make the systems work "better"  ...   synthetic oil, improved waxes, better chain lube, etc, etc.     :D

No Worries

Oh, one other thing. I put in about 10 drops of really good gun oil into the antifreeze. I don't know if it helps but it makes me feel a whole lot better.

Your choice will work, I am getting ready to flush mine and refill with Honda car coolant.

I'd say you are doing fine with those choices.

Is one brand if antifreeze better than another for use in a 99/1500J?? I have done some reading, and Prestone AF2100 50/50 mix seems like a good way to go for me. Its a 50% antifreeze Coolants and 50% Demineralized water(Distilled)! Seems like it should work well in the bike! Any Ideas? Also..what are your feelings on Red Line Waterwetter added to the mix? Any/All Ideas will be helpful!
(I've been having a overheating problem(in another post here) bought all new cooling parts..just want to do thing right!) Thanks.Respects. Magoo.
