:o  wow you can be mean......So let me tell you what I did, after talking to Tom York in the UK he told me where on ebay to find the "black" acorn" nuts, now the only issue I had was with the 6m's they come in 2 thread sizes so I ordered 50 of each to get what I needed, but then once ordered I found out it was 50 assorted of the 2 thread sizes....so I ordered 6m -100, 8m-75 and 10m-50 then I bought the correct threaded rod in Stainless steel. Then I got my trusty digital calipers out and measured the thread length and added the depth of the acorn nuts to the overall length and cut them with a hacksaw. Then I used red threadlock and lots of it left it dry for a few days and then used them, so far I have made something like 55 of them and replace a lot of the original bolts with these. I'll post pictures soon......

So enlighten us, oh highly esteemed wise one, how do you make these great looking bolts ?   drill out the acorn nuts and epoxy onto the bolt head? Turn down the bolt heads, and tap them to fit the nuts?  Cut off the bolt heads and super-glue on the acorn nuts??

Almost ready, few parts are into powder coating yet should be ready Weds. Then a few more items once I can mount the seat frame as space is the issue.

I had a member from the UK show me he was removing all the engine casings on his 800 and replacing the bolts with home made ones. He opted to use brass acorn nuts as the heads for his bolts. So taking a page from his book I opted to use blackened acorn nuts for my new built and if they rust some then it will only add to the theme of the build.
So everything is now into a rolling chassis, and only the side parts left to build, and I have made something like 50 of these handmade bolts.........below my handmade bolt and a stock bolt......
