It's obvious in the second close up shot that the aft baffle at the least has been removed. So they are stock pipes, but without baffles.

My point exactly. 8)

My 2005 has the rear baffle removed....only moderately louder than with baffles...and not a bad sound.

Personally, not on the side of loud pipes.

I have listened to that little bit of sound bit of his pipes, I am going to venture that he has modified them by opening them up, because my stock pipes do not sound anything like that. Much quieter are mine.....

The law is law. And noisy exhausts don't save lives.
I'm with you guys, too.
But, honestly, I like to hear ma-deuce roaring down the road...  ;)

I love my swingin' bike!

This law has been effect for a long time in New Brunswick and now Fredericton is tightening up the noose a bit, and if you talk to any LEO's they will tell you they are not targeting the regular riders. They are targeting the dumb asses that insist on rapping thier pipes just to hear them.
Quebec has been enforcing this law for a long time. Near here is a bridge about 500 ft long and has high sides, during a group ride one member with ear bleeding loud pipes rode across the bridge and rapped his pipes to scare a couple of young lasses crossing the bridge. The whole group was pulled over by the QPP (same as state troopers) That individual was given the option of returning to Ontario ......across the bridge, or have his machine impounded till he got a way to get it home. A few others were sent home due to expired insurance and or no DOT approved helmets. The QPP handled it really well and if dumb ass had not rapped his pipes none of this would have happened the QPP told us this.
I am with Troll on this 100%

The laws are already on the books, and have been for eons....stock exhaust is also FEDERALLY mandated since 1989. I really do not understand the debate....noise is noise, and "loud pipes save lives" is just an excuse for people to break the laws. Sorry but that's my stance on this subject....Riding technique and situational awareness are what saves lives, not noise.
