Drifter 800 Air Intake Mod

I don't know anything about this mod except a fellow from England was asking for air intake suggestions.  These are the before and after pictures of what he decided on.

I floated the idea of that forward-looking air cleaner on this forum and got some spicy replies as to what people thought of it

Now, that's not the kind of air intake mod I would do to my bike, but I think it would be nice to have more informations about it, anyway...

 Now someone else has that same setup if I am correct and they are finding the leg has to bend to much to be comfortable.
