Here is a quick mod for your V&H straight pipes.   Takes about an hour.   2 3 1/2 inch Diameter mufflers. [no fatter or they won't fit]  Baffles removed.  A chrome or painted strip of 1/8  flat stock.  1 original 'Harley'  saddlebag muffler bracket.
Remove end pieces from V&H.
Slide on 'Harley mufflers.
Make simple bracket as shown.   [Have done this on a few drifters and 50'000 miles no issues]
Attach 'Stock' hanger bracket as shown.
Polish,,,,Stand back and listen to that mellow DEEP sound!
