Motorcycles solo seat conversion

I was going to get just the mounting plate for my springer seat (I have a harley style police pan), but the holes didn't line up with my seat mounts...plus they wanted $$$ just for the plate...

I think the seat that comes with it looks a little on the small side, but just my opinion....

Has anyone tried the Bobbercycles solo seat conversion on their Drifter 800? Their ebay listing says it will fit a Drifter without modification, but their webpage only listed the Vulcan and Vulcan classic and says that it "may" fit other models. Looks like a cool Springer seat, if it really fits.
