Since you're not making any progress like with warmer engine or more fuel and there is not anything much noticeable as with idle not being steady, I would go for the spark plug cables sliding away from the spark plug cap. The caps have a screw that is twisted onto the wire. One can easily have them slide off after a while and then having two plugs per cylinder does not help for too long. It is even possible one plug had quit unnoticed already. Perhaps you'll see more when you read them. Cables are also screwed on with the other end, at the coils. Always check the outside of coils for heat traces when you see them. When at it, you may want to do a resistance test. Search for those two checks on YouTube and see what it is about. Here is the readout when good:

(")
Primary Winding Resistance 1.9 ~ 2.9 Ohm (X 1 Ohm)
Secondary Winding Resistance 18 ~ 28 K Ohm (X 1 K Ohm)

To test ignition coil for resistance: use Ohm meter. Set to R X 1 to test primary coil between terminals on top of coil, resistance value should be according to your bike's specs. My Vulcan Drifter 1500 is between 1.9 and 2.9 Ohms.

To test secondary ignition coil: measure resistance between both spark plug leads coming from ignition coil. Set meter to R X 1000. My Vulcan is between 18000 and 28000 Ohms 18 and 28 reading.

The air intake at the throttle body is a bottleneck since the butterfly valves should remain clean in order to be able to close properly. Mine were shiny by the way, it is an easy inspection when checking on the condition of the air filter. Coal buildup is removed, dust free, with a solvent. I found the butterfly valves easy to be inspected. They have a clear audible click when closing throttle and the sound should be the same and noticeable every time.

You will need to define your terms. I know you think what you said is universal, but I was in the auto repair business for over 40 years and believe me...NOBODY'S terminology is universal...

What kind of miles do you have on it?  Is it time for spark plugs and an air filter?  Have you run a few fuel tanks of Seafoam through it?  That stuff is magic!

Wondering if anyone has experienced this issue?
