I had one more bike when I met her (4, so, I've actually downsized), she's wonderful and thinks that keeping activities and friends, after getting married, is good for the marriage.  Working so far!  You should see her shoe collection!  I could care less and encourage her!

The 250 Ninja has a 13,000 rpm redline and makes max power by 8000 so you do your shifting at a bit higher frequency than on your Drifter.  Sure is a nice variety but was a bit hard to get used to, switching from one bike to another, when i first had both.  Believe me, if you're looking for a gas sipper, go with Ninja suspension and brakes before you consider a scooter of any sort.  Way more stable and I've gotten it into some near 'stoppie' situations.  goes around corners on rails; amazing.

I will  check them out, Yamaha makes a 500cc auto trans bike but it looks like a big scooter and is pricey.

The new Honda DN-01 or a Ridley can eliminate the clutch / transmission problems.

My wife loves bening a passenger, she can just zone out and enjoy the ride. Its also safer for the clutch and transmission.

I brought it up to my wife, and she didn't totally reject it.  Thing that got he to REALLY thinking about it was when a couple of other lady riders talked about how much more fun it is on the front rather then the back.

Now I'm really looking forward to biketoberfest, was thinking of  demo riding a couple of sport bikes will make sure I ride the Ninja.
How do you bring up that second bike to your wife?

Man; you'd need a letterbox camera to get all those in!  I'm 58 and I've been hooked since a guy put me on the tank of a Harley widebody when I was in 3rd grade and took me up and down my street.
The Ninja is more fun than you can imagine; corners like a ninja, does 90 easily and gets 70 mpg.  $2000 with 3K miles on it; 1 year old.  Amazing brakes and suspension.
The Tricross's tires go from 50 # to 100 #, depending on what you want to do; dirt roads or touring; nice piece of engineering that I traded a mt. bike and a road bike in for.

Three very different animals!  All quite nice though!

I too have a few different animals.  I have a 2001 Drifter 1500, an Electra Indy, an Electra Hellbetty Tandem, and a 2008 Honda Metropolitan.  Seems we have our two wheel obsession in common, huh?
