They have about everything, except a nice exhaust (which I can't seem to find anywhere...)

Take a look at this...: http://japan.webike.net/products/20193302.html
It's gonna be my next deal, as soon as my pocket will be full enough...

About the bag, you couldn't speak sooner... Went for a ride today and I got myself on a road with a few bumps more then usual, when I got home there were a couple of marks from the bag on the fender. No big deal as they came right off with a little rubbing but I guess I'll have to relocate the thing a bit.

Or maybe, just avoid holes...

I love my swingin' bike!

I was always under the impression that God created fringe on the eighth day, but to each his own!

That was on the ninth, on the eight he created motorcycles  ;)

That's sure a Beauty, Drifta. Every time I see a new Drifter I think what a thing of beauty they are.

Be careful of that bag on the seat though.....  that fender moves a WHOLE BUNCH, and it could put marks on it from the bag.

Thanks ;)

Mittico, I don't have more photos of the bracket, I made it from a iron plate and tried to stay faithful to the stock one, it was just a matter of measuring, cutting, bending, drilling and painting  ;) I got the roll bag from a spanish online shop: spaciobiker.com

Thanx for your infos.
That site is really full of nice stuff...

That was also my first thought as I've seen that solution throughout the web, but to tell you the truth I'm not a big fan of tassels and studs...  :P

I thought the same thing...too big an opening. I went with tassels.

Yup!  Tassels for me too!

The roll bag was the best solution I could find to fill that big opening in the back of the seat.

You're right, it's from a harley, a softail rocker c if I remember correctly. Just had to make the bracket so it could fit the drifter. The roll bag was the best solution I could find to fill that big opening in the back of the seat.

Thanx but, you know, we're hungry about new mods for our babies...
Any pics of that bracket?
And where did you find that bag?

I love my swingin' bike!

BTW, that seat is not a OEM one, right? What mark is that?
And do you have a closer pic of that roll bag?

Thanks for the welcome  :)

My drifter is a typical red one from 2001. I got her with 14.500 km (9.000 miles), with no mods whatsoever, and apart from the age and a scratch or two she looks completely new.
I have a couple of questions mainly about the front brake, valve adjustments, consumptions and aftermarket exhausts (already posted there).
About the pictures... I still don't have any decent ones. Right now I'm changing the stock seat to a solo seat, and I'm lowering the license plate. As soon as I'm finished I'll take her to a photo session  ;)

Ola,
Welcome...lots of good info on here. Pics of your ride are also welcome  :)

Drifta

Hi everyone! Nice place you've got here.
I'm a recent owner of a 2001 Drifter 800, and I'm from Portugal. Not too crazy about power and performances, instead I prefer bikes with great looks and style which in the case of a Drifter 800 gives her a rather unique personality. Drifters are rare in Portugal but the oportunity came up and I grabed it. Had a Ducati Monster before (which I loved) but I've decided to change to a very different riding style and I'm not regreting it so far. I realy like the bike but I've some mods in mind and some questions for you drifter riders. I'll be bothering you soon  ;)
Well, that's it.
Ride safe  8)
