Rear Caliper replacement

I'm a happy little Vegemite today.  MSP (in the Netherlands) sent me an email confirming my Caliper has arrived from Japan, and is now on it's way to OZ - could not get it from Cycle-Parts or Ron Ayers in the states - worth remembering.

No slander intended.     Something must have been lost in translation.
In OZ it just means
cobbled,
a bit worn about the edges,
still working - but kinda  something that you'd only take out on a dark night.

I'm sure Shunter and Malcolm will vouch for you being none of these.

That one from Arizona looks good ($50 +80 postage) i.e. the m/c in accompanying video - did not find that one on my searches.
Another  one is in Daytona (95 + 40 postage) but the m/c shown in video is a bit ratty looking. Both have 60,000 miles on parts.

The rods on the  black mounting plate on mine have worn shiny and therefore bind in the aluminium holes in the caliper - 95,000M, wearing out a set of pads after a few hundred miles. Wary of buying used brakes unseen, will wait a few more days to see if Europe has stock, or if any owners have used someone else's.

I need to replace the rear caliper of my '99 Drifter 1500, (Block) Part 43041-1685-GN (The Classic and Nomad have a different part and mount from the top of the disk). The States/Japan don't have any.

I am attempting to source them from Europe, they use replacement (block number) 43041-1906-GN. Checking their fiche , they have the same compenent parts as the fiche I use for US parts.

Unfortunately, it has been a few days(without update to the Order details)  and I suspect they are out of stock too. Has anyone used an alternate caliper to the OEM ?
