Road Burner Exhaust for the 800 Drifter- Do you have a set?

   You know Pilgrim it is only about an hour and a bit from Richwood Ohio to St.Marys Ohio, so perhaps our favorite mechanic to save the wear and tear on a trailer a vehicle and the work of loading the bike, unloading the bike, and anything else damaging our intrepid but honest and trustworthy mechanic could simply mount his trusty 1500 and ride over to St Mary and install the pipes for Mister rpoturica and then he could take him out to supper and regal him with stories of yourself and himself at Drift In 14......

  There is a really good Drifter 800 mechanic in Richwood OH who works cheap and will provide meals while you wait and he will install them for you........lol.......now to slink off to the back room and hide......

Well, I ordered a set of American Classic II pipes from roadburner back in March. The ones from Hardkrome. After much delay and numerous phone calls and a 20% discount for my trouble, they are finally on their way! Can't wait to get them and put 'em on!

I installed a set on my 800 last summer, without baffle It was as loud or louder than v&h longshot!You can install fishtale at an angle, it's pretty common on other brand

I PM'd  Nanook and here is his appreciated PM back for those wanting a owners opinion of what the Road Burner Exhaust sounds like from from the box without adding Smatpartz baffle to make it more police friendly in his neck of the world-

The sound without baffle is loud, but it's a beautiful round sound, like a big inboard boat sound with a low gurgle. If it was'nt for the police I think I might have kept it that way, but it sure would not have been pleasant for my neighbour when I take off at 7am to go to work. Even with the smatpartz baffle I've been stopped by the police 2 times in the last two month. They finally let me go, but I could have been charge with a 300$ fine.

FYI- I bought my Road House set off a vender out of CA on eBay.  They were selling for $400 including S/H.  I paid that but after a shipping delay, I contacted the seller and was initially going to cancel because of the wait but then got a 20% off if I waited 3 extra weeks and agreed.  So for $320 with S/H was worth the wait for a brand new set.  I am not sure if they will have more sets when I checked last it said out of stock.  Road house is the sister company made by HardChrome that still sells the exact same set $500.

Do the Road Burner Exhaust with nothing else OR I will need to add the Smartpartz baffle because without it is crazy loud?

Did you buy the Roadhouse set from Bam Bam?  That looked like a sweet set and if I had a extra money might of bought it but did not.

Every motor vehicle driven or operated upon the highways of this State shall at all times be equipped with an adequate muffler or exhaust system in constant operation and properly maintained to prevent any excessive or unusual noise. No such muffler or exhaust system shall be equipped with a cutout, bypass or similar device. No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motor vehicle in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise of such vehicle above that emitted by the muffler originally installed on the vehicle, and such original muffler shall comply with all the requirements of this Section.

 V&H and Road burners are supposed to be close in sound and db rating.

My main question is there a way to install fishtail exhaust tips?  The pipes are lined up to each other so the top pipe would have to be cut back for both tips are offset and fit somehow?

Maybe extend the bottom pipe enough to add two fishtail exhaust tips?

I was wondering about the road burners too and if they were NOT as loud as the Vance and Hines...

But sorry I cannot help you with your original post. I have no experience with them.

Havent used one but I looks like it would be pretty easy to install and should be pretty efficient.
I'd check and see if it has removeable baffles.
