Kawasaki only released overall numbers and Canada numbers.  They didn't even release any numbers for the Drifter 400.

I know I have seen less than a thousand Drifters in person and that includes pics of Drifters...wonder where all them bikes are?

There's at least one 1500 in Eastern Europe...and I saw an 800 with a sidecar here too ;)

And, there were 9000 1500's and 9000 800's produced worldwide... 600 each sold in Canada according to Kaw.

Hey Chief, do you know how many sold in Italy?
It's 17 years now since I've got mine and I've seen only 3 of them in person, during my rides...

I love my swingin' bike!

That's not a whole lot of recalls.   ;D

I was just reading an article (yes I can read, albeit slowly) about Honda having to recall 22,000 of their 750 cc  Shadow line for some sensor.
Well as Drifter owners we know we will never have to deal with a recall.  :o not even sure there were actually 22,000 Drifter made let alone left on the road at present.........
Besides we have Chief and Troll to keep our bikes on the road with their wealth of information.
Have a nice day.....
