Bucko remember I have the 800 and I know the one that I am talking about the arms were 12" and need to be 15" and then you still have to have a block about the size of a regulation hockey puck to clear the mono shock zerk fittings.

I did buy another one like yours from Princess Auto but as of yet have not had a chance to use it.

I also have one like this venom lift and it is super and easy to use......even PC could use it alone.

Make sure that the collar inside the jack on the worm screw is tight! I had mine come loose and the ball bearings went all over the place. I replaced the ball bearing with a flat torrington...that works good, but the jack is useless without that thrust bearing.

That's what I use. In any case, I had the same one as PC as well and it also works great using hockey pucks.

mine is like PC's and then I had to lengthen the arms to lift by the frame and so added other parts to make it lift the 800 properly.

I use this one on my 1500. I also use a Drifter lift adapter. You do have to fill the hydraulic cylinder with oil, and bleed out the air when you get it. Other than that, it's plug and play.

You don't need any mods: remove the 'stands', add a couple of appropriately placed hockey pucks and you're off to the races.

If the Harbor freight one is like the one I bought from Canadian Tire then you will have to mod it to lift on the frame not the engine.

I lift my 1500 on one, but I have to use a couple of 2x4's so I'm not lifting on the oil pan.

Does the Harbor Freight motorcycle lift, not the table, but the lift need any mods to work with an 800 drifter or will it work right out of the box?

Browsing the other day I found some tips from someone who taken their site down but someone on this list had saved and archived. The site was a link on another post and I cannot find it again. Any ideas?
