Drifter Theme aged / patina

Mine is getting that way just from use! Got a new nick in the front fender in Indiana from a piece of concrete that fell off a pick up on the way to Drift-In....

a lot of people in the Plastidip community are doing this with their cars using plastidip, so when you tire of it or sell it's a simple matter of peeling off your "patina", with no harm to the actual paint. Relatively inexpensive as well, had my 800 classic fully painted in matte black for $100, I took everthing off and delivered, the quote for my Drifter, in two-tone, with pearlizer and gloss coat added was $275.

We've all seen themed Drifters. Military style, Tribute to this or that, fire, police, etc.  Has anybody done or have seen a Drifter that has been aged and given a good patina? I'm not a fan of the type where people add all kinds of interesting items to the bike. Some folks like to get an old rust bucket (Triumps, Harleys, Indians) and make the mechanical stuff 100% but not do any cosmetic improvements, and then ride 'em.  I think it would be fun to do, just not to MY Drifter.
