I will do the caddman mod this weekend, I hope all goes smooth. I will try to post some pics or a video of my bike before and after. thanks everyone for the good info on the intake trick. I was getting ready to waste 300bucks on a air kit.

I put V&H Longshots on mine, with a PCIII. Ended up having issues with the PCIII the second spring(first ride of the season) ended up phoning their tech support and getting them to re-program it through my laptop. No changes to the intake at all, no lack of power at any throttle position speed or gear. Still pulls like a tractor all the way through the range.

I simply added coasters and a K&N filter to the left side. Some folks remove the left side altogether and suck air from the right side (caddman deal).

Again, Under the References tab there are some mods for this. http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/forum/index.php?action=links;cat=26;start=20

Just remember, with our bikes you WILL need to add a FI box like the Cobra or PCIII if you change the intake and pipes.

Kawasaki uses a combination of intake restriction and exhaust muffling to meet emission specs. Putting on the low restriction pipes made it louder, but the intake is stifling the airflow. This was done on purpose. Opening up the intake will lean out the mixture a little bit, which will, in turn improve cylinder filling, which will improve efficiency. Thunder makes a nice system as does Baron, to open up the airflow. They are both EXPENSIVE....The Caddmann mod seems to be a good alternative, if you don't mind that car air cleaner hanging off your bike. Either way, you will definitely increase the sound volume from the exhaust.

I have a 02 drifter 1500, I installed some vance and hines long shots. it sounds ncie, but what can I do to get more performance out of it.it feels like it still drags when full throttle.  is there a good intake system that will help?

I did the caddmann mod (marbled) and have loved the difference so far
