The box is actually an air scoop.  It collects more air than just hanging on the side of the bike.

Jmbo doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a big heat sink attached to the rec/reg.

John.

I wondered that....  does it get enough air back there???

Why is yours useless?

Only because I had to drill new mounting holes for the bracket on the back side and I didn't weld up the old holes.  Other then that, it could be used.

Interesting mod!  I just mounted an old Harley tool box there when I moved my rectifier, but it's pretty much useless other then for looks.  This would actually be useful.

Why is yours useless?   You can by a tool-box bag to fit right in there.  Mine is full of tools.    Fits a .45 quite nicely as well...

So it looks doable....I'm struck out on Cash cause my car  boke down so I can't try it right now but perhaps someone els can Do it?. I remember the installation on the meanstreak was so easy that I could Do it...and considering it took me 1h to change a front head Light bulb on a Toyota Aygo that says a lot *lol*

Heheheh dont think The frame and enginge mounts are the same as the hotbox. It was a Great placering for tools and spares on a long journey. .had 2 metall bottles of total 3 liters of petrol im it to. ..

You could always fab one.... some sheet metal, welder, 1" x 1/8" flat stock for mounting brackets....     Be easier to buy one if you could find it.

Hey, John, you could probably bake sweet potatoes in there.... :D

:) sorry. ..a fiberglass box that fits where The "catalytic" converter should be... a nice way to get a couple or 3 liters of space. Named hotbox from that the rectifier mounts on it Making it a tad  hot..... inside

What a great idea for carrying a hot pie for lunch..

But I'm not going to do it.

John.

Ah HAH....
Wouldn't one for a Meanstreak fit in the same place?
