You will have to go over the invoice carefully. Sounds like it's running nicely....

Wow, that's not good, but there is one thing that needs to kept in mind when you are checking compression in these engines that doesn't apply to most others. These have a built in compression release system to make starting, especially when hot, easier. Current compression specs for a 1500 are listed in the chart, as well as the proper procedure. I suspect that a cylinder leak down check would have been a better choice to diagnose the problem. What parts did they replace?

pcarrell... thank you I thought so myself!

Compression on the { back} cylinder was about 60 and closer to 90 on the {front} ... It looks as tho it got hot. lack of maintenance for sure, the oil looked like syrup with clumps...

what was the problem with the top end?

Welcome to the forum!  Sorry to hear your bike has been "laid up" for so long.  Could I ask what ailed it??

Glad to hear it's back on the mend, and you'll be getting her home soon.  Happy trails.

BTW, before the horde sets in on you,  you might want to post some pictures...  it keeps them happy  ;D

No Worries

Glad to be apart of such a cool site, tons of info and great ideas. Mine has been in the shop since last July 2014, however it returns this Saturday just time for a long summer...
