No Low beams on headlight. Help

Yes, there is one bulb - but it has 2 elements in the bulb - one for high and one for low.  Either one can burn out and the other one still work.  Low is much more likely to burn out first, b/c it gets a lot more hours on it.

Had my bike parked for a few weeks.
Started it this morning and the headlights don't come on. The high beams come on after a second check.
That's screwy, because it's supposed to be a single bulb from reading the manual.

Any ideas on this one? Can a bulb burn out on one side or element? It worked fine before, So I have no idea how this changed while I was away.  Any info appreciated.
