Harshest sentence in Canada since they abolished the death penalty was handed out today.

A 24 year old man was sentenced to life with no chance to apply for parole for 75 years, he shot and killed 3 RCMP officers and wounded 2 more in Moncton NB, earlier this year.

They're much tougher on people that kill cops here.  In the US, you can get your own radio show run from prison, and also give a commencement speech at a college.  That'll teach him not to go around shooting cops.

Police took a British mans guns away earlier this year and then they returned them to him in February this year..

He promptly shot and killed his wife and daughter..

This week he was sentenced for the crime, he was told he would serve a minimum of 25 years..

He is 82 years old..

When he heard that sentence he must have thought he was the luckiest man alive, I reckon he will serve less than four years..

John.
