For an internal frame you could use some small gauge PVC, might be a bit lighter than steel and easy to glue.  Or mall gauge copper tubing which is easily soldered.

there's a couple of things I'm not too thrilled about, but on the whole, they look and work well. I'm going to make an internal frame to support them over the winter. Every set I've ever seen sags a bit over time, so mine won't...I'm thinking steel tubing, and rivets.....I have to have a project...

NICE, Troll.  They look good.

No Worries

They are almost big enough to put my old ones inside...19"x 7" x 12"....and the weather sealing seems like it will be pretty good. The weather here has been crap since I put them on, so I will be waiting a bit before I go grocery shopping with them. I'm sure they are bigger than the H-D hard bags on a 4 speed frame, since I have and still use a set of liners for them, and they are way smaller than the bags....Going on a trip out of town next weekend, so I'll get to see if my 17" laptop will fit....

They definitely complement the style of our bikes. Imho, the best looking bags out there. Only reason I got rid of mine is I put the vintage Harley bags on for more storage. Looks great, Troll

I got a set of used saddlebags from "Woodcarver". He sold his Drifter and bought a new Indian. He is on the Delphi forum. I've been wanting a set of these for about 4 years, and could never justify the price. These came with struts, loops, and quick detach mounts. I put them on this morning......They are definitely bigger than the Saddlemen bags I had on, and a lot more like the ones I've seen on "real" Indians....I'm not sold on the quick detach brackets, just yet.....
