The top ones are the ones you want, not sure how the others attach.

Ledrie used to manufacture and sell parts but they went out of business a while back and I think Guido bought out their stock, and he was getting someone to manufacture some parts from what I understood from the UK site.  There is a member on the UK site who does manufacture some parts, rectifier covers, and spoke covers, not sure about engine guards but I will ask him.
As for asking for the discounts I do not have any pull or the wherewithal to do that .....

I have read several posts regarding Highway/Crashbars for the 800 Drifter. I am guessing like most other members I've spent hours surfing the net and ebay etc.

Since there seems to be a demand for them (especially black) has anyone attempted to contact Guido, or any other supplier, manufacturer, to see if they might be prepared to offer VDR members a discount (say 15%) if ordered by VDR members?

I know Singh of Singh Saddleries will honor a 10% discount on saddles bought by VDR members.

Or - is there a VDR member who either has the skills and tools, or a friend in the engineering industry, that could copy an original set, with details of measurements, degree of bends etc that could fabricate a set (with computer records, pdf file) that could be shared - or just make them to order?

They wouldn't need to be powder coated or painted, as I am sure all VDR members know how to use sandpaper and a spray can, or have friends who are painters!!!

It's just an idea, I thought I would throw it out there to VDR members and their thoughts. (Neanderthals are not known for their ideas)

Then again I am a Kiwi Caveman.....Kore rawa e rawaka te reo kotahi (Maori) or English translation (One language is never enough)

Stay safe, stay sane
