Am I missing something?

You could maybe put new mounting holes in the bags to move them out of the way, then seal the old holes with some silicone caulk.

Got the brackets mounted, only to find the PO had the saddle bags in the wrong place (when I got the bike the bag supports were already reversed) now they hit the rear directionals.  Once i get those remounted i should be good to go!

Thanks for the help.

Think I may have the saddlebag supports reversed...Doh!   That would explain the clearance issue.  If it doesn't I'll drop some photos.
Thanks,

The black bike at the top of this page is mine, and it shows the solo and 2up setups.  There are 2 bolts on each side, and one is a little longer then the other.  I have to switch the front and back bolts between the setups, with the long bolt being in the rear on the 2up setup.  Hope this helps!

Not sure which mounting bolts you are referring.  Can you send a photo?

So, I am having some trouble mounting my saddle bags with the 2-up seat.  I mounted the supports and the bags, but when I try and put the seat back on it doesn't clear the bolts for the support brackets.  Did the PO swap out bolts?  what I have is an 18mm bolt (nothing fancy) with a standard hex shaped head (which is where the clearance issue arises).
Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Rizzo
