Yeah, it's not cheap, but all the heavy engineering is done and it's basically a bolt on kit at that point.  You have to pay for that kind of convenience, but if you had to pay to rake your bike the old fashioned way you'd probably be close to the same price by the time you got all of the shop work done.  The only cheaper way would be to do it yourself, and not everyone can do that, for whatever reasons.

You don't have to get that crazy.  http://www.chopperkitusa.com/kawasaki-chopper-kits.htm  Our bikes are basically a F.I. Classic in the front end.

I agree with you PC each to their own.......point in case.....

When you are buying a house, and during our long and cold winters I watch a lot of the home reno shows on TV because I am always looking at ways to make my house nicer  and more mine.
I get a real kick out of people walking into a home and criticizing the  colour scheme of the house that it is not what they like.....so paint it duh.....

So make you bike yours, if other do not like well if you do so be it.....it is after all yours.

I don't think it needs it either, but the OP asked, so maybe he want's to go down a road less traveled.

This seems a little extreme to me, for a Drifter.

It's got it's own "flavor".  That pic is of a 14 degree rake with 10" tube extensions.  They offer a 9 degree rake, and with 6"-8" tubes it would appear much more mild.

I wish I could put a few degrees of rake on my forks as that looks good. I had a 2000 Indian Chief and they had more rake than the Drifter which gave them a ...well a rakish appearance.
I quess I could get in the neck and heat it up and bend it some for a rake, or cut plate and weld... as my Drifter has been lowered 1" front and rear I could put the stock length progressive springs back in the forks...yeah baby!
