I bought these. you can select the SAC Cruise throttle lock for the throttle side as well. Works fine for me.

I have a vista cruise on mine, and love it. I used to get these back in the late 70's, back then they were called a Vanda cruise. They had an aluminum arm back then.

My PO installed a Vista Universal Cruise Control on my '99er.  Haven't used it much bout when I do it does the job.

I have the same issue if I don't use the oversize rubber-band thingy that comes with it.  When I have that installed it doesn't slowly throttle off.

  I have one like Tripwire, only issue I found with it was that on the stock grip of the 800 it did not hold well and would very slowly allow the throttle to return de to the springs. I have not had a chance to try it on my new Kuryakyn ISO Grips, but once the rain stops I will give it a test.....

I just use one of these http://www.2wheelride.com/throttle_pro.html.  Had mine for four years now, no issues.  Easy to take off when not using it.

nevermind.  just checked the website. The brake away is just a throttle lock.
I've been using the plastic one from eBay and it's a little bulky, but works great

    I have the basic vista cruise and a cramp buster on mine. After I got the spacing correct, I made a small bracket for the arm that goes over the switch housing. The plastic version, which is what I have (put it on in 2010...around 40,000 miles) flexes when you lock it. In the past, I had the steel one which did not flex. Bottom line, if you want to set it at 70, you have to go to 72-73 to set it because it will drop when the arm flexes against the return springs. Since I put the bracket on, it doesn't do that....Works pretty good for a $30 accessory.

No, but I played with the display at Iron Pony on the parts counter.  It's really NICE.  I just wasn't willing to part with that much green-backs.  So I opted for the cheaper version without all the bells and whistles.  It works fine for me, I like it.

If money were no object, I would pick a BrakeAway over mine, but for me it wasn't worth the extra pricetag.

I'd be interested to know as well. I've thought about getting one. I liked the brake-away one best, and unless I start reading bad things, it's probably what I'll go with. It's supposed to work with the Kuryakyn Iso Grips as well.
