I'm not sure what you mean by plug covers. The plug wires have terminals on the ends that attach them to the plugs.

Start the engine in a dark area of your Garage, set the idle up a bit...use the "choke", and spray some water at the plugs...see what happens. sparks and missfires???

I checke the spark plugs and one did show a small white dot by the connector...and around the spark plug is darker tint on half of the porcelain. Part...

The wires terminate in a resistor connector that attaches to the spark plug. Sometimes they leak fire to the cylinder head. This is a common problem with cars that have spark plug tubes, and the Drifter has a plug tube on each head...Small white marks on the side of the connector are a dead giveaway...Black streaks in the plug porcelain are also tell tales

Plug wires/plug caps. They are old and may be leaking spark

Hey guys maybe somebody can help with a problem that has just been happening... My bike is sputtering at higher speeds sometimes lower speeds like if it's choking... This happened before when I had an exhaust leak... I had fixed that problem and it went away no more stalling but recently the problem has came back... I have no exhaust leak the spark plugs are pretty much new I even put injector cleaner... Maybe it's my fuel filter? I don't know... Thanks again!
