Yeah we had typical Kansas weather today. High around 80 degrees F, 30+ mph wind, gusting to over 40 mph (this was before the storms), thunderstorms, hail, and it's now 30 degrees F, calling for lows in the 20's tonight with a chance of "wintery mix" tonight/tomorrow morning. Go home weather, you're drunk...

We are finally the lucky ones for NOW then I guess because it reached 73 today . My son had a baseball parade and some fun activities afterwards , so the kids enjoyed the fresh air . I was able to get another ride in tonight to try out the solo seat , and boy what a difference from the two-up  8)

78F today, with a bit more wind, but that won't stop me from running errands on Nadine!

We're supposed to get a low of 26 on Tuesday, with about an inch of snow, too!  This is entirely too late for snow.

No Worries

Troll

They are predicting 1-2" of wet snow over night. I guess we won't see the eclipse, again!

Mid 70's, nice breeze, and wind in the hair!  Can't ask for more!

We had low 70s today, and it was real nice.  It was pretty windy, though.

we finally hit into the 40's, lost of snow has melted, about half a beach left on the roads, so need some rain to clear the sand off the roads.

PC ride safe and have fun.......

Ahhh, Spring. The snow melts, the river floods, the bugs come out, the gutters are plugged, and then the thunderstorms start...as we enter tornado season..

I love this bridge...just like the Michelin ad says..."the right tire changes everything". I had planned video, but I forgot to charge the GoPro battery. Got 1.30 of video, but not of the bridge....Supposed to be nice again tomorrow, so back he goes!

Back to more pleasant thoughts of Spring...My delayed trip to Lansing happened today. They predicted 70, but that didn't happen. The bridge maintenance is finished, so both lanes are open. Here's a shot from below the bridge along the rail road tracks. 1/4 mile steel deck bridge...

Suppose to hit the high 60's by the end of the week and rain Saturday morning . I'm praying my leather is back from Osprey so I can button up the sprung seat , and finally get to hear what the road house exhaust sounds like  ::)

In the low 60's here today, got to get out and actually hit the highway today! Was thinking about heading to LaCrosse and looking up Troll, but Mama had a pretty hefty "honey-do"list, including a new timing belt in her Kia.............wants her car back for work.
Not a bad job, but with no heated shop..........had to wait for a semi-nice day to do it. Anyway, got to ride some and finally realize how really nice my Drifter rides and handles. I read somewhere that they are hard to turn around in the street.......long wheelbase.........etc,  I found no such problem. I can easily push mine into a turn or corner, head up and whip around no sweat.
I'm really pleased with the performance, it came with a Cobra FI2000 already installed..........It's a Keeper..........anyone wanna buy a Custom Softail......?? ::)

Well Pilgrim to get your thread back on track from these thread jackers:

I am off for 12 days at the end of the month and hope the snow is gone and I can get out riding by then........

One place where I lived, I had pretty ignorant neighbors and they and their kids walked their dog all over my lawn, leaving piles.  Then one day I decided to return the favor.  I pulled out some old golf clubs and drove some of those piles back to where they came from.   ;)

Well I do not own a dog, nor a 49'er......but my yard has land mines guaranteed, now we shall be polite and ask the neighbours 30+ son to come and clean up behind his hound.......if not once all the snow is gone, I'll make the rounds, cleaning up and make a very nice pile in their yard.......and see what the son thinks when his son gets into it.........guess I'll put the gates back up between the yards.......once the snow is gone.........
