I got caught up in a GIANT scam...   This organization calls themselves the IRS or something like that, and they said I needed to send them a whole bunch of money that's supposed to bring me great benefits - Free health care,  Free roads, a whole bunch of FREE stuff.   SO FAR, I've sent them THOUSANDS of DOLLARS and haven't seen ANY of the free stuff...

I can top all of that with a real life alledged scam that is taking place as we speak..Look it up..

National Race Track of Wales.

A company has applied to build a giant motorcycle race track in the South Wales Valleys in a place called Ebbw Vale, They want to buy lots of common land in the area and build there, the project is going to cost nearly £100,000,000 and take one year to build..

So they applied for and received £2,000,000 from the local council just to prepare the planning and project paperwork, then they applied for £20,000,000 from the Welsh Government to part finance it, and £30,000,000 from the UK government also to part finance it, the rest will come from private investors who don't want to be named..

So far they are £2,000,000 up.

These Africans are just small potatoes..

Yeah, I do with email the same as phone calls. If I don't recognize them, I don't answer. There's no telling how many millions of dollars in inheritance I've given up from a Nigerian prince trying to wire money to my bank account....

I got an interesting email today. My email client, Thunderbird, flagged it as a phishing scam. It was from (supposedly) the United States Postal Service.....The return address was .UK....Interesting! It said that USPS was unable to deliver a package to my address, and I should go to this link and print a label to take to the PO to get my package...Yeah, right. I did a cut and paste and went to the web site in Chrome. It sent me a .RAR file. I unpacked it and this is what I found:
Bottom line, don't open it. It's a Russian scam to steal passwords.  I never even opened it as it was designed, and I still had to do a cleanup.
