We had 65 degrees showing on the thermometer this afternoon so I figured it was time for another ride. Made a little over 30 mile loop. Back roads are horrendous. Took the highways but coming through Galion on 309 the frost heaves and pot holes were downright dangerous. It was pretty cool (no pun intended) to be riding and going through spots that the snow is still piled up on either side of the road. All in all it was a pretty nice ride. They have a winter storm warning out for tomorrow so I can't let spring fever hit too hard yet.

I thought you needed the towel to clean off the inside of your windshield after you had been making engine noises for a while.

;D  that's a good one....

Well March is here and so is the missed cold from Feb, normal to have 2 weeks in the -30*C temps but we missed that.......this morning it was cold and it is getting colder as the day moves on, current temps are -2*F and with the brisk wind it drops it to -22*F so a really cool day out there. Going to go and sit upstairs and polish the bike while looking out the living room window and the snow sitting there, might pop a "Ride with the Troll", stick my ear buds in to hear Bob Seeger, and then ride my bike with the TrollMan........need to get a towel first because I have not got my seat back yet...

We got snow in Kansas. Seems to be around 3-4" on average. Kind of hard to tell since it's very "dry" and drifting. Some places there isn't any, and others there is over a foot. It was 1 degree F driving to work, and the windchill was supposed to be -15 degrees F or colder as of last night.

We got about 3" I think.  No more.  Looks like there might be more coming behind it, but who knows if it will get here.

Great for you Boaski!  Nope, I did not get out once again.  I had too much stuff to do and was gone from 9 to about 4 pm.  I sure thought about it, though, while I was out running my errands!!!  By afternoon, I was leaving the coat in the truck and wearing just a T-shirt!

I saw a couple of bikes out, but not as many as last Saturday.

Now, again, we have a Winter storm warning, but they've downgraded it to 3-5 inches...   I think that would not even warrant being mentioned in the forecast North of the Border, let alone being a "warning".   It started out being 6-12", but I doubted that from the beginning.

Yeah, I went in and bought some high test gas for the sleds yesterday, since we were going to get a foot of snow and all. I don't know about you, but I doubt we got 2".

at least you have a good son who comes and cleans your driveway for you if you ask him and bet he does it anyway for his poor OLD dad.......

It got close to 50 here in my area of Ohio. Since the snow is gone (for the moment) I decided to see if the bike would start.

Wasn't too bad but had to watch for gravel & grit they put on the back roads around here.

Hey, Greenbarm - did you fire your bike up today?
