Nice job, Jmbo. Still need to remove mine, tidy it up , and send it to my buddy's place for powder-coating. Have a few other odds and ends to get done too.

Here's another shot of mine after powder coating. It slides in to the two-up seat mounts so the bags do not have to be touched to remove the rack.

Same here; if you dish it out, you better be able to take some yourself... worked with a guy (haven't we all) who couldn't take it but loved handing it out...guess who everybody picked on?

Thanks for the reply!.....I'd really like to get one that has 4 posts, or a side plate that attaches to my seat/bag supports so I don't have to attach something else to the seat. I bought mine with a solo and a rail and will probably upgrade to a Heathers Leathers or somesuch animal. I'd also like to be able to take the rack off without removing the bag supports. I like the way yours looks, tho.........and it adds to the idea pool. I'll keep looking, but I think it's Fab time!!!..............

Welcome Newbie. Not long ago I was in your same situation so  decided to fire up the torch, welder, and die grinder and fab  my own.  Here are two shots of the one  built.  The one photo off the bike was a first pass.  This one mounted too low. Just be aware that the rear fender travels up and down twice as much as you think.  The second photo shown on he bike was the final.  The final one was raised 4" to clear the fender travel.  I have since gone to the single seat so I have no other photos of the rack on the bike.

Hi!, this is my 1st Drifter, a 1500, 2002 with 14K and in great shape, I already have a custom Softail........S&S motor......the whole 9 yards......custom paint........and ironically.........many think it looks like an Indian!!!!!! got a 1500 Classic, actually 2.......on that doesn't run right now......and a 74 Honda Chopper project. What I don't got is a luggage rack for my new Drifter. I've seen the type I want............just can't find it...............VDR Member "Troll" has one on his very nice Drifter. Where does one find one like that. I have bags, mounted on rails attached to the seat that came on the bike.
Been riding Harleys for years........and I bought  Classic 5 years ago........and fell in love with it!!!! Smooth, reliable, easy to work on(see modify)and sounds great. So, like on other here..............I'm a reformed Harley Rider!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please tell me what that rack is, where I can find it.....etc........otherwise I have to fire up the torch and welder..............
