I had a Chevy pickup years ago, exterior was burnt orange and cream, interior was tangerine orange and champagne velvet, diamond button tuft. Those colors looked good together. I am a fan of the oxblood and cream combo like Troll's bike too;You should go to a paint shop and ask to go through their paint chip books........then you'll be confused....

GB perhaps if you pm'ed Bake and asked really nice he would take some nice pictures of his really nice looking ride and let you see the nice paint on his bike.....

Well, I think I might do that.

If I had the funds to repaint mine I think I would go Bianchi Green (aka  Celeste) over a Light Cream.

I think I would be partial to orange and an off white used on some Honda Shadow 1100s but I like the one picture of the red & white Indian as well.

Cream and mint green gets my vote if you're going for tan leather  :)

We've always been car crazy.  We've always been bike crazy.  Most people agree we're just plain crazy.

I've always been a fan of dark navy blue with chrome. For two tone, either a dark metallic silver with the blue would be nice and black pin striping to break up the two. Or reverse the dark silver and black to end up with a black and blue bike with a dark silver pinstripe. If you stick with two dark colors, it'll really make the chrome pop and the black seat/saddlebags with chrome studs will coordinate nicely.

Thanks for the input so far. Keep em coming....   ;D  As a side benefit, we all get to look at some really sharp bikes!!!  8)

I see a lot of ideas I like, I guess that's been the trouble - narrowing it down - but keep the ideas flowing.

Just don't paint it like a checker taxicab...

I had considered perhaps a skull theme, but decided against it.

Yes I like the color of the Indian cotton posted . I'm a fan of the white and baby blue two tone . Imop it's just a rich classy look with the chrome shining away . I also like this color scheme GB

That is sharp.

Since you the stock oxblood/ivory colors, but want something not stock, what about flipping the colors.  Paint the oxblood parts ivory and the ivory parts oxblood.

Another thought is like this.....

Maroon and cream go well together.

Don't have any pictures but then it was on a truck and the colour was from House of Colours and it was burnt orange and the guy had ghosted in regular orange as a second colour and you had to be at the correct angle to see the change but it was really nice.

Root beer and black?

I like the pastel two tone colors Indian was using prior to Polaris bought them. The Indian pic above looks good.

The Black/Silver combo (w/ chrome) almost takes my breath away sometimes.

I always like the Indian Chief chrome fender moldings between two colors.

Second vote is like in the pic.

greenbarn

You're right about that...  this is an 03 R model, with the Chrome.  Currently in it's native metalic ruby red.

Greenbarn what year is your 1500?  I think some colors look better w/ the black out and some look better w/ the chrome.

greenbarn

So what are your favorite DRIFTER colors??

I would like my new 1500 to come out of the shop in the spring with a new 2-tone paint job.  Trouble is, I can't narrow the choices down to just TWO COLORS!   So I wanted to ask VDR to help me out.  You each get one vote (OK, you can actually have as many votes as you want).  What's your favorite?  What have you seen that "knocked you out"?

Here's what I want:
--vintage look
--I'm pretty sure I want a light and a darker color, the lighter color being ivory/cream/tan/white.  I like 2 darks, like red/black etc, but unless I change my mind I want ivory as one color (or cream/tan/white).
--I like the stock oxblood/ivory colors, but if I'm going to paint it, I figured I'd use something different than a stock color.
--ideas that I like are:  light green, bright red, light blue, dark blue, yellow, orange.

The leather is black right now, but eventually I'd like to switch to tan.  Won't be this year and maybe never, but possibly next winter, if the funds and time are available.

So share your ideas, and we'll see what happens.  Please add pics, if you have one.
Thanks in advance.
