Hubby found an 800 tool kit...

you have the proper tool kit, because the only difference between yours and mine or sorry his and mine is that I have pliers and you have an adjustable wrench. I have a list of the original tool kit and it came with pliers.

and again his wind screen looks really like mine other then the Indian script writing on the front.

Glad to hear yours will be (better) than new soon. Our windscreens are stored on the wall for now. We may use them if we're taking a longer ride, but prefer the look and 'feel' without them for local rides.

looking really close at the top and second pictures and that wind screen sure looks like mine. Never could find what make it was but it looks like my mounting brackets too. Mine just got re powder coated so will look good once more.

:-) No more sharing!!! And we swapped tail light lenses already...he had put the blue dot on Princess and I was less than pleased, like 'em for him but just not my thing. Now Blue has proof that she's 'his' lol !

Question: I've thought about buying one long distance too, and shipping, but I'm scared to death to buy one with putting eyeballs on it. Everybody out there is not going to be as nice as 2beers.... So what did you do to make sure the bike was good before you sent the money??

First, thanks for that compliment, GB :-) As far as buying sight unseen, it was a bit scary, and we consider ourselves lucky. Hubby went to MD and saw Princess before we made the deal on her. We tried to get out to AZ to see Blue, but plans fell through.

This particular seller was very easy to work with, providing pictures, history, and service reports. He even offered, and then took the bike to a local dealer the day before shipment for a complete inspection, at his own cost, to protect against shipping issues. He has a business with a website, so it made his 'reputation' very transparent. Additionally, he's a member of a bike club in his area, and we were able to verify other things he told us about prior to making the deal. He appeared to be honest, but how many times can that be deceiving?

Having it go through as an E-Bay sale gave us some buyer protection, and him assurance that he'd get paid. The price was good, but ultimately we know we took a chance. Do we recommend it? Well, only if you have a 'feel' for it that it's right.

Plus, my fortune cookie the night we put the offer in said 'you'll continue to take chances, and be glad that you did'. I'd laugh about that, but I'm not making it up!!!

As for lights, I have in the past 3 years only seen one set in black for sale and poof they were gone before I could even think about it, but I did find a set of 1500 lights and bracket that had been sitting around the local bike shop and got them on a deal, had them powder coated and bingo off you go........

I'm very happy with the construction and style of Singh's sprung seats . As for the brackets I'm actually having the same guy who built my light mounts fabricate me a seat mount .

Thanks for that! We love your bike, BTW! We're planning to order a seat for Blue from Singh, we read that you're happy with yours. What's the story with the brackets? Does Singh communicate well with a buyer about that kind of thing?

As for the passing/fog lights I bought mine from here lights@taillightking.com or by phone at 936-524-6116 cell number. Of course they come chrome only so powder coating will have to be done . This guy has a lot of cool items and sure the two of you will find and enjoy this site . Here's the ones I bought a few months back and of course had coated .

Welcome, Arizona Blue! Fitting right in with the Maryland Princess...

And on Day One, Hubby started making Blue his own...found that beautiful back fender!

And by nightfall, an image of how he pictures her to be. Seat on order. Engine guard ready for paint. And can anyone tell us where to find a couple of black spot lights or passing lights, whatever they're called...lol...an illusive part, I'm finding that out!

A great first day it was, after an extremely stressful delivery. FYI...NEVER contract with Heartland Trucking, John Anthony was the customer contact...in spite of their good ratings, which I researched independently of anything he told me. Blue was brought to us from AZ yesterday morning, we had contracted for Enclosed Carriage, and she arrived...in the bed of a dually pickup truck Thankfully, she got here safely, although filthy from the trip. And yes, we have disputed the payment with our credit card company!

Headed back to the garage...
