Speedo Cable - A dumb question?

99 & 2000 are the only drifter with a cable, R Series has Electronic speedo. Maybe that is what you are seeing

I have a 1999 Drifter 1500. My speedo cable comes out of the RHS which appears correct, however, I've seen lots of photos of Drifters without the speedo cable on the RHS. Am I mssing something? Is there a way to route the cable on the LHS?

After you have all stopped laughing at this dumb question I'd appreciate some feedback.
