I cut down my original 2 up, down for a weekend. It worked ok. I hacked off the back plastic, pitched the foam after a couple of try's at shaping it and went with a light layer of sound deadener instead, then stapled the covering back on. Better do some squats and get those butt muscles in shape if your going with no foam.

Or buy a cheap old Nomad or Vulcan Classic 1500/1600 solo seat, do some small modification on the front seat mounting, do a new upholstering and you are ready to go. See also http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/nomadseat.html

Cobra makes a nice solo seat; as well, the stock Drifter solo seat is pretty nice.

As i like modifications instead of buying, I am wondering if anybody cut the original saddle down to a solo seat?
Maybe its possible...

Or if You can recommend where to buy a nice bolt on solo seat.
