Its very easy if you are only replacing the front sprocket and not the chain. 1. Jack up rear of bike and loosen axle nut.  back off both chain adjusters to give you plenty of slack in the chain. remove the chrome dust cover over the front sprocket at the crank case. Can't remember if it is a nut or a pin that holds on the front sprocket but it doesn't requires any special tools. slide sprocket and chain off shaft and replace in opposite order.  Hope this helps.

Have manual on order.  Will make a log of steps and take pics as I do the work.  Will post to mods when completed.

You might wanna get a manual if you can. I really can't help you on this one... please keep some notes so we can help others who do this.

Cheers.

Hey All,

Checked the mods section and the archives but found nothing on this. Got a new front sprocket and chain yesterday.  Planning on doing the work this weekend.  Can anyone provide step by step instructions?  I haven't turned a wrench in many years and don't really feel comfortable taking on this project without guidance.  I borrowed an impact wrench to get that 27mm nut off, so I'm ahead of the game there.

TIA
