2000 Front end on a 2004 Drifter 800

ok was told by a resident expert that you could put 1500 springs into the 800 forks, and if you check his post about front end and springs he will let you see that he did in fact put the 1500 springs into the 800 forks.....correct Mr. GreenBarn......

I believe you're off in a few different ways.....

but the springs may be different, the 1500 is a pretty hefty bike. How much does the 800 weigh in at?

As far as I know that is correct... I don't know what other changes may impact the installation.

I'm hoping this will work.  I want to convert my 2004 Drifter to a black front end so i bought the legs of a 200 Drifter and may just get my upper part painted - Am I correct in assuming the only difference between a 2000 and 2004 Drifter 800 front end is the color?  Thanks
