I'm meeting new people too. I was in the store and came out to find some guy eye humping my ride. We get to talking and end up going back to his shop where he has no less than 4 v8 trikes, two with corvette backends, all with Indian fenders.

Mr. Petemoss good Sir:
well you people have banned me from posting any more pictures of myself and anything to do with Canadian winters.....so I need to find a way to pay all of you back with kindness, oh wait till they stop in Indiana, and after the stories I told them of our number one member in that state, I'll be they head that way first.......just can not get over a person as old as that with a Mohawk that big and how he got into the car and out again.....and his kids with Mohawk's too. Even the wife had one, and it was coloured to boot.

dakuhosu, love to go riding with my brother in law and his big fancy port and polished and re crammed Harley Ultra Glide, people spend more time looking at my little 800 Drifter then his big bad bike. When his neighbour said mine sounded more mellow and a heck of a lot quieter then his he was not happy, but that is life.

I never actually saw anybody's jaw ever drop until I was out riding it right after I finished it. I'm all proud ;D and cruising and looking around and nobody seems to notice, that's disappointing I thought as I glance over to see some dude in a ford truck slam on his brakes with his jaw fully dropped pointing at me and my ride to his passenger. I was like "yea, better recognize!" I won't even stop for gas if there are more than a few people at the station, I really hate being the center of attention, especially to strangers, and the look on the faces when you say 99 Kawasaki, you can see they think your joking. I've been out on the thing exactly 3 times so far. The thing has it's own energy. A $3500 Drifter getting more looks than almost anything else on the road. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger "It's fantastic!".

.oh yes before I forget PeteMoss and GreenBarn, the dude with the Mohawk haircut, will be calling one of you, his tag is AH26YH, from 0hi0, told him I had buddies that lived there and they would hook him up with a free meal and some beer. Just call them and drop in.......ok cool........

Why do I have a uneasy feeling that you may be telling the truth here?

So woke up this morning and really nice and sunny, call a buddy ask if he can come out and play with the big boys and go for a short ride. Rides a Suzuki 650 sport touring bike, really nice colours and such. So off we go for a short ride....lol.....little did he know. So we get to via point 4, stop for lunch and fuel. People are walking be looking at the bikes, he said to me he gets lots of looks when just him and the missus are out for a ride. But he is amazed at the people that are scoping out my ride. Told him it was normal, so as we are leaving a guy walks over and tells me he has a VN900, but just loves my fenders and asked me were I got them, so told him they were stock and came on the bike, he never heard of a Drifter. Ok score one for the home team. Ride over to the pumps to fuel up and as I doing that this guy on a GoldWing pulls in and parks almost drags his missus off the bike and dog trots over to me and say's is that one of them new 14 Indians? Took a second to comprehend what he said, so with a bit of a smile......ok with a huge sh*t eating grin I said nope it is a 99 Kawy Drifter 800, his jaw drops and he said "are you sure". Ok I know I lie in the bush and away from major city centers but come on, really were do these people come from, down south in the Toronto area........

but it was a fantastic day and it was over all a nice ride......oh yes before I forget PeteMoss and GreenBarn, the dude with the Mohawk haircut, will be calling one of you, his tag is AH26YH, from 0hi0, told him I had buddies that lived there and they would hook him up with a free meal and some beer. Just call them and drop in.......ok cool........
