Well looks like I'll try to make drift-in 2015 as the rooms are booked solid .

Get on your horse, there were 45 rooms initially, and the woman I spoke to said there were only a "few" left...like maybe 6 or 7!

I am registered, and have my room reserved starting Tuesday night....I don't want to miss anything on Wednesday...Only 3 months and 6 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!

IF I can make it down, I would have to fly down and rent a bike, likely a Harley, and get a room somewhere else. I cancelled my room already so that's out.

Man, I'm awfully sorry to hear that!  For one thing, I was looking forward to meeting you.  Secondly, now Ratman will have to find somebody else to pick on, which could be me, if I make it there!   Hopefully, if possible, maybe it will still work out.  If it's not meant to be, hopefully next year.

No Drift-in for me. Had to cancel my reservations in Maggie Valley. Maybe next year, I hope.  :'(

Just requested my leave for the Drift In!! Going to be leaving from a BK run in NYC and will head to NC, three weeks on the bike. Woohoo!

I didn't look at the second day, yet, so maybe. I had planned to take it easy on the second leg and only do the 475...I am getting older, you know...

I sure appreciate all the time you're putting in the route/schedule.  Saves me the trouble....   I was hoping to minimize the interstates and make use of as many lesser roads as possible, but I realize that's really hard to do that when going that far.

What are the chances of veering the route slightly to the East to meet up  with the NY contingent?

I'm still refining the route. I have to balance time constraints against traffic patterns...I still have a few months to get it where I want it...

I'm thinking Monday afternoon, so we could finish the (one day) ride to Maggie Valley from your place. I don't want to miss the "opening ceremonies" Here's a copy of the plan, as it is right now....

I'd be quite honored if you would do that, Troll.  I believe Ratman is already possibly swinging by here as well, as I'm almost directly on his way down.  What day to you plan to make the trip?

That would be really cool is we could also meet up someplace on the way with the folks from over East yonder, and all ride down together.
