You're probably better off having them computer matching anyway.  Anything 15 years old will have significant fade, even if you don't notice it, so even if you had a can of the original paint still available it would probably not match.  A good shop can match it real close.

No Worries

Hi Therese guys and thanks for all helpful hints.
I checked colorrite webpage without getting any wiser.
Ended up going to my local paintshop and they will try to match it. I will have it back tomorrow. Hope it looks nice  :P
Thanks again and Nice riding this summer !

You can Google colorrite who will list and match and supply  your bike's original color..

Kawasaki do not supply the original color codes for their paint.

Sorry I just noticed that waltervl has given the same answer.

John.

I'll take my bike to 2 places this week once it stops raining and see what they tell me, one is the best body shop in the area, and the other is the place all the body shops buy their paint. See what I can find out. Thanks for the idea Chief

The good thing is a good body shop can match the EXISTING shade of that color. Rain, sun, etc... changes the shade of the paint, so if you are trying to match an existing color that's the best bet. If you are repainting everything it doesn't matter too much and you can use the original paint.

Your best bet is to take it to a body shop and let them match the color. Here in the USA they will tell you the color codes, free or for a small fee.

Hi and greetings from Norway
Can someone please help me with the Color code for the Sunbeam Red 1999 drifter 800 ?
I'm having the fuel tank repainted and want it to be the same color as the rest of the bike.
I would greatly appreciate if one of you fellow drifter riders that knows a bit more about color codes than me could give me a reply.

I know it was never released in the US, but i might get lucky anyway ?!
Thanks a lot and smooth riding !  8)
