Discontinued Items

It depends upon how and where they get the data feed. Some suppliers provide information which make it possible for retailers to true their database... but others do not. The retailer doesn't know the supplier/mfgr has discontinued an item until they try to order it themselves. NO parts retailer has EVERY part in their inventory... in fact very few have massive warehouses themselves.

Anyone ever notice how most motorcycle parts websites still have discontinued items for sale and you can place them in a cart and even pay for them...then you have to go through the hassle of getting a refund and stuff because the item was discontinued 5 years ago. Why don't they remove those items from their website...dunno.
