Sparepart availablity for the '99-model

Parts from other years are interchangeable. I think the only difference is in the kph speedo vs mph...

Greetings fellow riders...

I'm on the verge of getting a '99 Drifter. We basically have an agreement and I just need to wire over the cash and get the bike...

But things got me thinking; apparently, the '99-model wasnt sold at all in the US and the US is a big market for both spare parts and aftermarket parts. Does anyone know how much the 99' differs from the later models? Will spare parts fit or may I actually run into trouble should something break on my '99 rike?
