Looks like I am going to have to take my bikes to the dealer to get the stuff done for riding this year. I'm hoping to be able to ride in a couple of weeks. Of course its already 90 degrees here! So will be just in time for the heat.... a couple of weeks ago was beautiful riding weather!

I am a little late on this thread, as my back was so bad that I just didn't feel like sitting on a computer chair in front of my desk.

I threw my back out a month ago, and the last few days I have been able to bend over and pick things up off the floor.

Further, I was right in the middle of wiring my Drifter for my trailer and had the tailight assembly apart.... I had the wrong type of connectors, so it was apart when I did something else to screw the back up.  So the Drifter sat for a month with the taillight apart.

Good news, the back got better over the last few days and I finished the wiring on the bike, and I pulled the trailer on a couple of test rides totaling only 75 miles, but hey..... it is looking up.  The back is fine and the trailer tracks as it should and the hitch is working fine.  Today, I am going to give it a full 125 lb load and give it another 100 mile test ride.

There is a different thread on the 800 trailer hitch project.

Dang...sorry to hear that. Smoke some medicinal medicine, shake it off, quit cryin', then get back to work.  ;D

Hope your feeling better soon Chief.

Take it easy Chief.  Back in the day I used to jump out of perfectly good airplanes, my Doc told me then it was time to stop.  Now, after two operations, 4, 6" long titanium screws, I walk like a duck with........well thats enough said.

jmbo

Hope you have a speedy recovery Chief. BTDT and it's no fun.  Broke my tail bone a couple years back. Took two year before I could ride any distance without pain. No fun watching the dust form on my bike in the process.

Are you in a brace?  Those can help limit movement which can speed healing.

chief
