Thanks John that gives me a peace of mind that I can travel the UK once more.........Police officers are such poor losers in hockey and tug of war.......besides I just have to tell them I am with Laird John Hopkins of the Drifter, and they would quack in their boots. right.....

7050 air miles, that is covered......sister has them......

stay at JH's in the bank......free

meals........not too much

gas....need to figure out Wales money....

this is doable once I am done work.....lol...for the cost of a bell...easy.......

oh need passport.......wonder if the Southhampton constabulary is over thier hissy fit from 1979 after the hockey game...........need to check on that issue yet ......

Maggie Thatchers first year in office, since then the government has lost or misplaced almost every document they ever had..lost MOD laptops on trains, post bags full of documents found on the streets blowing in the wind, private security and cleaning firms employing illegal immigrants in government offices..

You would have had to have planted the brighton bomb in the conservative party hotel for even a chance they would remember you.

Hey Ratman maybe PC will work out the same deal with you.He has that Harley sitting in the garage so maybe...just maybe if you buy two bells, one for good ol'PC and one for his buddies bike he won't mind you tooling it around, after all you'll be in PC'S care.So as I see it,so far your up to three bells from Chief.....1)for JH
2) PC
3) Borrowed Harley

Counter offer, if any of you decide to have a vacation in Wales I will provide free accomodation and the use of a Honda shadow to ride while you are here..

I can't provide dry weather, and at this time I only have three shadows left, the offer is subject to me still owning at least one of them.

In return you can bring me a ride bell for the Drifter.

John

ok we catch the hint, someone order one and ship it to JH and he will be covered...eh!

yea so all you heathens who don't have a bell best haul butt down and get Chief to order them for you...chop chop........

Yeah that could be a problem, postage to Wales, payment conversions from GBP to USD, a severe mistrust of paypal due to a previous problem.

I have one (POW) on the front and Soldiers Cross.  I bought one for my brother, he put it on and had no problems.  Took it off because he was going to remount it in another area, forgot about it and wrecked his bike the same day!  I'm not superstitious, but...............

As the legends of the "Gremlin Bell" goes... All mystical powers of Zen and Karma are rendered null and void if you purchase one for yourself...  These ancient and magical powers will only be activated if someone purchases said "Gremlin Bell" for you... If your friends or loved ones believe you need all the protection you can get tell them to get one of these bells pictured below... If this one doesn't scare the Bee-Jesus outta gremlins then you have more problems than anyone has the power to resolve.

Here's how to deal with this situation....

Scenerio 1: Buying from our store:

Here on our store, when you buy the bell... you are buying it for ME. I, in turn, GIVE you one EXACTLY like it... so all the benefits of the bell remain intact.

Scenerio 2: Buying someplace else:

1) Buy two bells  2) give them to a trusted friend 3) trusted friend gives you one of his two bells. All of the benefits of the bell may NOT remain intact. We have applied for a government grant to study the issue.

I saw the Indian head one there on the site.  That looks cool.   8)

Who knows... but any extra luck can't hurt right?  I rely more on my 135db air horns than my gremlin bell but...

Mr. Chief Sir, yes seems that I bought one from this site for myself when I bought the Drifter and then bought one for each of the riders in the family from there too. so there....no emotion with a tongue wagging so just imagine that here right now.......... :P

It's a tradition with us. Every time you gat a new bike you get a bell.  My son is in the Coast Guard so the last bell I gave him was a "Coasty" bell.

We sell them...  so we have dozens! If thinking they do something makes you want to buy one... then yeah they do something...  ::)

Nah! They are just for fun.

Brilliant answer..

John.

I have one with a soldiers memorial on it. I like the story, and since I should not have walked away from a blast, and have no right to be here today I have to believe someone is watching over me.

I vote for the return to Paganism...my ancestors would appreciate it. Somewhere on my family tree there is a tenuous connection to Mary Stuart.

I have a gremlin bell my wife gave me.  It doesn't do anything, but it's kinda fun.  It's funny that you mention the religious angle as my bell has a big cross on it.

John Hopkins

A weird question maybe..

I think most British people are less religious than Americans, we are a much more cynical race..but how many of you have a riders or gremlin bell fitted to your bike..How many of you actually believe it does something to protect you..and of those that don't believe in it but still have one, can you explain why you have it and if it fell off, would you replace it?

I think everything in the world happens in cycles, climate, inventions, taste in music, or food, these are all wheels within wheels and I think Britian is either heading towards pagan times or because of the population changes towards muslim beliefs..

Most of us don't have ride bells..but I believe in Pinky and the Brain..

Another meaningless post by..

John
