I'm running a Mustang solo seat from a Harley Softail on mine. I've gone through a couple bracket revisions but haven't come up with a design I'm satisfied with yet. Once I do I can post dimensions for you. The other problem is that the sat is a little narrower so I will need to make some covers to clean up the appearance around the seat edges.

I'm not only dull myself; I inspire dullness in others.

Nice work...My handlebars are off an '83 ElectraGlide, and look to be about the same bend as yours.

The handlebars came from a Harley Springer Softail 2001 picked it up for 30 euros, all you need to do is drill a small hole on the side clutch side for the light cluster locator hole, all the wires and cables fit nicely with no modifications. If somebody can tell me how to upload images I will glady post some pictures, tried with image shack but I cannot seam to upload them

Hi,My wife rides a Drifter VN 800 and she is 1,60 meters high so I adapted a Suzuki Marauder 250 solo seat to her bike and now she can get both feet firmly on the ground. Also fitted her bike with a narrower Harley handlebar

your wife & I are the same height...do you mind my asking what type of handlebar and/or what model of Harley did they come off of...

Singh makes some good looking stuff, and those who have it are in love with it. It's not cheap, but comes with mounting hardware which the one you posted does not. A welder and a machinist can make anything fit anything...

Got any pics and maybe a write up on how you did it for the site?  (Chief would love that!)

Heck, I'd love it...

That won't just bolt on. The Drifter is very unique and if you are looking for a bolt on there is only the oem and corbin. The corbin isn't going to be a lot shorter or narrower, but they can customize if for you. They aren't cheap.

That said, a seat like that one might be adapted to the drifter, but it would be a one off set up.

Hi Chief, as far as I know, my seat is the stock seat that came with my bike, but it is very large all around.  Too wide and too tall.  I found this seat and was wondering if it would work on my bike.  It says it's for a Vulcan Drifter 800 when I did the search, but it doesn't specifically say on the ad that it is.  So, I'm not sure.  What do you think?  Thank you for your help.

Smaller that what? And smaller where?  - shorter, narrower? Do you have a solo or a double... OEM or aftermarket.

The problem is there are very few seats that work on Drifters. Custom seats are available from Corbin, Heather's leathers, and a couple of others. These may or may not meet your requirements.

Can anyone tell me where I can buy a smaller seat for my drifter 800?
