from what I saw it was a newer grenade with a hole drilled into it and then a LED light in it and it was bright.

I'm sure that looked cool . I have someone working on a special project for me know , maybe down the road when the smoke clears , he can come up with this design as well  ::)

PC , I ended up getting the mirrors from "customize cruiser" or something along those lines for cheap . Mirrors cost around $8 . The stems are metal , but the mirror head itself , are plastic . for the price I can't complain and will do the job intended for NOW  ::)

Those mirrors look much more in keeping with the bike!  Very nice indeed!

Great look, D1.  the mirrors do help.

Ratman, I like that idea of a grenade tail light.  That would be unique!

Ratman it would be most appreciated if you find the small blackouts . The only blackouts we have are the larger ones in the shop . From my understanding they are the standard size now , being the HUMMMWV took the place of the pick up , blazer and jeeps from back in the day . I've also been looking for the old choke knobs like they use to have in the old jeeps etc . While I am here in the shop I pulled one of the blackouts off the shelf and it is just way to large for the front fender .

Just give you my ideas and up to you to use them, and your most welcome.......now the other night I watched some show #biker?????? not sure of the name of the TV show, great ideas, and the other night I was watching it and you came to mind, they used a grenade as a housing for the rear taillight. We need to find you some small blackout drive lights, now to this end I am going to hit the local armories, I do still have a few buddies down there and see if there are any laying about, or unguarded and I will attempt to liberate them for you.......

Yup I know what your talking about . I never thought of that I was looking for cylinder truck lug covers . I stopped at a truck rest area in Virginia , but they only had ones with a silhouette chic on the end .... If it's nice this weekend I'll run the bike over to a truck stop about 30 miles from me to see if they have what I'm looking for .

I measured the rear peg mounts on the 800, and they appear to be about 1 1/4 inch OD.  Meaning, a lug nut cover for a 1 1/4 lug nut should fit over it.  Not sure exactly, though- my boards were still mounted and couldn't get an exact measurements.  All I have currently are 1" and 1 1/8", so they won't fit.   I'll see what I can find.

LOL no it is something I never noticed and now I want to see how many others noticed or did not notice it. Trivia that is really cool to know.....

Richie, that had to just drive those Indian guys nuts when you pulled Ma-Deuce over by their trailer!  I mean, look how good she looks there, and for the price of one of their bikes, you could have a small fleet of yours!

AND Richie's is all custom.  After spending all that dough on a new Indian, your still obligated to spend another small fortune on CUSTOMIZING it, and I know accessories for that puppy won't be cheap.   Cuz, you know, we can't ride a STOCK bike.....

I wonder why none of the modern Indian owners realize that there was no "R" in Indian Motocycle?

I also went with the shinkos 777 , GB . Figured between the reviews I have read ,and the price these tires would be more bang for the buck . At least that's what I'm hoping . I picked up the front and rear for $98 each from the shop and $50 for install to include drive shaft fluid change . I won't get this done for a couple weeks , however as I have a million and one other things going on , to include some riding .

Actually, I haven't really decided what color(s) to do the 800 in.  Although, odds are your are right about it somehow ending up 2-tone... ;D  I need to wait until I get the 1500 done to see what comes next.    It will be darned hard to top that MA DEUCE!!!  I'm sure it will be just as charming as MA-Deuce coming from you , brother  ;)

I'll have to say, your custom shop is slower than crap! :o   I hope it's worth the wait when it finally gets done ;D  ;)

Hey NOW wait a cotton picken minute here GB ..... I don't criticize your choice of shops you use  ;) Besides you know what they say , " Rome wasn't built in a day ."  ;D
