look in the accessories area of the web site. There are a number of custom seat makers but for the Drifter they'd likely need to have access to the bike and perhaps a seat pan.

Thank you very much! Would you have any suggestions for a custom builder that takes weight into consideration for recovering and foam?
Thanks again.

HB - looks like travelhorse has gone by the wayside. Might want to look on ebay. I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Wondering how I can get one of the Travel Horse saddles for my 99 1500? I tried going through the link and looking them up online but no luck.... Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Might try a pad on it... just to see if that helps any. If it does, it might be worthwhile to get corbin to pad it and recover.

I suppose & it's a shame cause I was always happy with the ones previous.

Others Kaw's,BMWs, & a Yamaha.

I'm ,..well,..larger,  bout 6'1" 275 so the firm always worked,..but were talkin' rock on the latest one.

Most folks who have never used corbins don't know how they ride... most are used to the soft oem's. Sounds like you may have gotten one that needs some work?

Corbin saddles are firm... I've used them for a very long time and love them. I have one on my Goldwing and on the Drifter... had one on my last 4 harleys.

Chief,
Until this one I too was a Corbin fan. I've owned five. But man, the solo I bought for the Drifter is horrible, [20-30 minutes & I'm numb] horrible. The one on my Nomad,[two-up] is perfect?

I talked to them, they said they could try & change it a bit,..for a fee. That was when it was near new & i wasn't crazy about spending even more for it,..& it not be any better.

  Thanks Chief,

Apparently that is the one I saw having the steeper step.

I think I'll roll the dice on trying to have mine re-contoured,& covered. I prefer leather anyway.

The last Corbin I bought (a solo),was also uncomfortable,..& at their prices not of a mind to gamble on one again.

No. The two up was stock for 99/00. In 01 solo became the stock seat. Now, you could buy an accessory two-up seat from Kaw which was different from the stock two-up. It was a corbin covered kaw pan... NOT a real corbin seat.

See the seat page on the web site.

Are there different [two-up] seats for different years of the 1500s? I notice some seem to have a steeper step from the front to rear portion. Even though they are all said to be OEM?

I'm in process of changing back to a dual saddle,..my OEM is uncomfortable, so I'm looking around.

Anyone ever used Osprey mounts for mounting hard saddle bags?

Thanks,
Ron
