Rear Shocks

I'm picking up my Drifter 1500 tomorrow and one of the rear shocks does need replaced. I searched and found this thread but it looks liked it died off before the 13" HD Ultra Classic shock was ever confirmed. I did a search on Ebay and they are easy to find and seem cost effective alternative. As an option I wouldn't mind having the rear lowered maybe an inch to help a short fella out a little.

Or go on the progressive site and find the part numbers for the drifter and see if there are harley's which work... as mentioned I suspect the difference is in the length... but may be some difference in diameter etc too.

I guess since the Driffter shocks are 13", all you have to do is get 13" HD Ultra Classic shocks.

This question has probably been asked before but I'm gonna ask it again. I have a 2004 1500 Drifter and recently it has developed what appears to be an oil lead at the bottom bolt of the right rear shock. The oil appears to be a light oil as the only road dust sticks to the side of fender. Is this the result of a leaking shock? If it is what years of shock will fit my bike.
