MY 1500 DRIFTER HAS A TAPING NOISE WHEN I FIRST STARTED UP?

Probably perfectly normal hydraulic lifter chatter as they pump up and get warm in their cylinders; might not be so:  There's another topic exactly like this one which was discussed over this past weekend; search for engine noise and you'll get the info that Chief and others told that owner.

Is it normal for the 1500 drifter motor to tap when you first start it up?

It taps for about 30 seconds after 'cold start', then it still taps but not as loud

Please let me knoe if this is normal.
